I guess I should do what the title of this page says and tell a little about my self. I had always loved to draw, but I never really took it seriously. I got a Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 drawing tablet because, I wanted to have more precision restoring a family photograph as well as a portable drawing tablet. After using it for a while, I fell in love with drawing digitally and doing photo restorations. Video games and anime are among my favorite things, a source of inspiration, and influence my style. Kiki's Delivery Service, a Studio Ghibli film got me into art and helped me through some tough times. Which is why I want to create art that could make someone else's day just a little bit brighter.
When I first started drawing, I had very little confidence in my own ability and ended up throwing away most of my sketches, keeping only my better drawings. I attended the Art Instruction Schools at home, to improve my drawing skills. At some point during the course, I looked at one of my drawings and couldn't believe that I created it. They not only improved my skills, but also improved my confidence in my own ability. I now keep my sketches to learn from them and improve on them if I can. I plan on to keep learning and improving my abilities. I want to create pieces that I am thrilled and amazed that I made.
For this reason, I decided to attend my local community collage, Lehigh Carbon Community Collage, to strengthen my fundamentals, improve my skills, and learn all new skills. The professors that I have, all been incredibly amazing and skilled in what they do. I am more confident in my than ever, falling back in love with more traditional styles of art, and creating things I never even would have imagined. Among those things is 3D modeling, having a blast learning the program and creating models. These professors have helped me in such a huge way, giving me so many more tools to use for creating various different types of pieces that I would have never thought to have.
Continuing this educational journey yet another thing happened that I never would have thought. One of my professors convince me to pursue my art education beyond an Associate degree. I now find myself at Kutztown University perusing not just on bachelors degree but two! I was never the scholarly kind growing up, but I have been enjoying my educational journey. While I am working on a bachelors in Animation I decided to also get a bachelors in Art History. My skills have only continued to grow and I have continued to produce works that even impress myself.
I would love to make an animation or web comic some day that people will enjoy. I hope that my various pieces will bring joy to anyone who sees them. I plan on continuing to create new pieces in various different styles and mediums. Continuing to improve with each new piece that I create and continue to learn new techniques and tools to use. At times I do feel like a "Jack of all trades, master of none", but I can't help it. I love creating in these different styles and will continue to give it my all in what ever I do. I think that is enough of me ranting about myself, and should let my work do the talking for me. So, please enjoy my work and I hope I design something you like.
